PRS/PPL fees typically apply in the following situations: - Live music performances (bands, singers, musicians) - DJs playing recorded music - Background music played through a sound system (e.g. playlists, Spotify, CDs) - Music used as part of entertainment, presentations, or performances This fee ensures the appropriate licensing is in place to legally play music and that artists and rights holders are compensated. PRS/PPL charges may not apply where: - No music is played during the event - The client provides evidence of their own valid music licence covering the activity
